At the 11th hour, we got our tickets for the basketball game, and got to see the Suns open a very large can of whoop-ass on the Lakers.
Geez, what an ass-kicking that was. GREAT fun to be there. I've never been to a Game 7 before. Even thought they didn't actually win anything, it was still fantastic.
Long day, though - auction day. Didn't get suckered into buying any more jewelry, but Joe's been talking about getting a Blackberry, so I picked up one of those, and also a 3rd-generation 30 GB iPod. I only paid $70 for it, and the nice guys at the Apple store gave me everything I needed to get it running (seriously, they GAVE the cable to me), so I'm setting it up and testing it out to see how I like it. I don't know whether I'll keep it or sell it. I'm very, very fond of my current MP3 player (a Rio Karma), but it's only 20GB and the on/off button is broken (which is no big deal, really - I just leave it turned on all the time).
What's anybody got to say pro or con on the iPod? (Two definite "cons" in my book are the lack of gapless playback and the fact that I will have to convert every song in my library to its stupid format).
