A/N: That's probably the worst summary ever written but I just don't know what else to write. It sound's worse than the sory is, promise. This is for the October-challenge - the werewolf being the supernatural-element, obviously. Oh - and I stole the title from a movie [hard to guess from which one, huh?]
I also want to add that this is my first Winn-Fic to be published [though it's the second to be written], so I'm kinda nervous. And I also want to thank my Beta, who is probably the most awesome beta in the world:
fincalian ! You're awesome!
[I hope it's not forbidden to add a banner to the fic? I really liked this new shooting-outtakes and simly had to do a manip with them! And I thought it might be helpful to get you all in the right mood... xD Sorry if it isn't allowed, though.]
“I'm sure everything is just fine, there has to be a problem with electricity.” All the lights had suddenly turned off and William Schuester was standing in front of twelve kids, who were about to panic. Glee practice was taking longer than it usually did. Basically because Rachel had to start a discussion about Will's idea to perform the Rocky Horror Picture Show in front of the school. Will thought it would be fun but Rachel didn't. She obviously thought that it would be inappropriate - which made Will freeze for a second, since this was actually his favorite word, not hers. The fact that she thought it was inappropriate made him believe that Rachel might have a point. Nevertheless, he didn't want to give up that easily. And after a while - precisely after Finn supported the idea - a few of the kids started to like it.
By the time they finally started singing, it was already getting dark outside. And when the lights went out, Will couldn't even see his own hand in front of him. When the kids started to get nervous, he tried to calm them down.
“Maybe someone should go and have a look?” a voice sounding like Rachel's suggested.
“A look at what exactly? It's freaking dark in here” Santana's voice snapped back.
“I'm sorry, I was just trying to figure out a way to help, while you're sitting there doing nothing!,” Rachel responded.
“Guys, guys! Please!” Will didn't want someone to get hurt and since he heard someone getting up from his chair - probably Santana, about to punch Rachel - he had to do something about the situation. He saw a light in front of him, probably a cell phone. He took out his own phone and pressed a button, so the display lit up.
“I think I do have a flashlight in my office. You all wait here and stay calm!” Slowly, because he wasn't really able to see more than a few steps in front of him, Will found his way to his office. He could hear the kids talking behind him. They were still fighting, but whispered while doing so. He sighed and opened the door.
He found a flashlight somewhere in his desk, switched it on and returned to the other room.
“So. Maybe we should just call it a day and go home,” Will said. He lit up the faces of the glee kids while he spoke. Brittany seemed terrified and even Puck seemed to be a little uncomfortable. Will had to admit, something felt wrong. It wasn't only dark in here, it was also pretty cold. Which was weird, since he had taken off his jacket earlier, because it was too warm.
“Just grab your stuff and I'll lead the way out.” He tried his best to light things up as much as possible, while he grabbed his own jacket and bag. Slowly he walked to the door and waited for the kids. He could easily see Finn, who was in the back of the room. Since he was so tall, it was very hard to miss him. While he stared at Finn - he looked funny, because he already was clumsy when the lights were on and he seemed to be really helpless without light - he heard some noises from the hallway. First steps, than some kind of... howling? Will was about to take a look at what might cause those noises, when Finn slipped on something lying on the floor and fell to the ground. Finn cursed and yelled in pain. Will forgot about the noises he heard coming from the corridor immediately and ran across the room to where Finn was lying on the floor.
“Jesus, Finn, are you hurt?,” he asked and got down on one knee to look at his favorite student more closely. Finn's eyes met Will's and he smiled. Will's heart jumped a little and he smiled back.
“It's okay, I'm fine. I just slipped.” Finn tried to get up again and Will offered a hand to help him. When Finn took his hand, Will instantly felt warm again. He couldn't help but noticing that he was not supposed to feel that way about a student. He heard Rachel's voice in his head, whispering “inappropriate”, like she had earlier that evening.
He was about to say something when the door to the hallway burst open. Somebody screamed, Will raised the flashlight to illuminate whatever came through the door and he heard the same noises he heard before. This time, they were a lot louder. And this time, Will could actually see where the noises came from. He had to blink a few times - because flashlight or no flashlight, it still was freaking dark in here - before he realized what had come through this door. And he couldn't believe his eyes.
It was a wolf. Not a normal wolf, but a lot bigger. And it had yellow eyes. Were wolves supposed to have yellow eyes? Will couldn't remember. But this thing... it looked evil. Its teeth were giant and they shimmered...red? Yes, definitely red. Something dripped on the floor. Suddenly Will realized that the red liquid, which was dripping onto the floor covering the wolf's teeth, was blood.
All this happened in half a second. The wolf entered the room, hesitated for a moment, then howled. And howled louder. And all of a sudden Will realized this wasn't a normal wolf and that it was probably better to get out of here. But before he could say a word, the wolf jumped forward. Will saw its teeth flash and heard screaming. It was Artie.
“Everybody get the fuck out of here!” he heard himself scream. He still held Finn's hand in his own, so he tightened his grip, turned around and started running. His eyes were wide open and he could hear steps behind him. This thing had just killed one of his students, Will was sure about that. He saw it with his own eyes. But if they stayed back and tried to help Artie... maybe the thing would hurt another student. Maybe Finn... No, those were not the thoughts to be having. But to be sure that Finn would be okay, Will tightened his grip even further.
They took the fastest way out of the room, through Will's office. But there was no exit nearby, so Will ran down a random corridor. Their main priority was that they got away from this thing. Suddenly he heard howling behind him. Then footsteps, then screaming. He didn't stop to look back.
He didn't even know where he was running to, until he opened a door and found himself in the auditorium. The room was completely dark and the huge stage looked frightening. Will stopped to turn around. He saw Finn, of course. He knew the young man was still there, since he was holding his hand. And Finn didn't seem to dislike that fact. Somebody closed the door of the auditorium. Will raised the flashlight and tried to see who made it. Next to Finn he could see Kurt and Quinn. They were both breathing heavy and Kurt was crying.
“Where is Tina?” Rachel asked. So she was here, too, “And Mike and Mercedes?” She added.
“I was the last one. There was no one behind me,” Santana said. Finn moved a little and Will saw Santana leaning against the wall, Brittany holding her hand.
“I guess they didn't make it then,” Puck stated the obvious. His voice sounded cold, but... forced. As if he was trying really hard to hold it together.
Will wasn't able to say a word. This was just so... surreal. Four kids... killed by a giant wolf? This was like something from some really bad horror movie.
“We...” Will had to stop to clear his throat. “We probably shouldn’t stay here.” Nobody said a thing. Kurt was still crying, but he didn't make any other noise. Quinn tried to comfort him and hugged him. Rachel was curled up in Puck's arms, probably crying too. And Brittany and Santana were still holding hands, both of them leaning against the door. Will noticed that he was still holding Finn's hand. He tried to let go of it, but Finn wouldn't let him. The teacher looked up into his student's face and his eyes met Finn's.
“Please don't,” Finn whispered and tightened his grip. He was shaking, probably in fear. Will nodded.
“Okay,” he whispered back. He didn't want to let go of Finn, so this wasn't really a problem for him. And if it made Finn feel better...well, it was certainly a low price to pay.
“It's coming,” Santana finally whispered. She was the closest to the door, so Will didn't waste any time to stay asking if she was sure. He turned around and ran down the stairs of the auditorium, heading to the stage. He knew that there was a trapdoor in the stage, like any theater had. This passage led to the basement, where they kept all the theater stuff. It was one of two ways to get into this part of the basement. With the other way being a really big steel door, he figured it would be perfectly fine down there.
When he finally reached the trap door, the wolf was slamming itself against the door of the auditorium, trying to get in. He opened the trap door.
“Get in there and stay calm. It cannot follow us through this door.” Will helped Santana and Brittany getting down the ladder first. Brittany was crying. He had to look away for a second to prevent himself from bursting into tears, too.
It was very difficult to help the rest of the kids climbing down the ladder with one hand still holding Finn's, and the other hand holding the flashlight.
“I found a flashlight!” he heard Santana's voice from the basement. A second later he saw a light.
“It's going to be okay,” Will whispered, when Kurt climbed down the ladder after Quinn, leaving only Will and Finn on the stage. Kurt hesitated and looked at Will. His face was covered in tears. Will smiled and Kurt smiled back a little. Kurt was just about to say something, when the doors to the auditorium finally burst open and they heard a loud howling.
“Stay there, stay quiet and don't panic,” Will hissed and slammed the trap door shut behind Kurt. They would be safe here, he knew it. But it wasn't enough time left for him and Finn to get down there, too. They had to run. Again.
Will got up and looked at Finn for a second. He raised his right hand, the one that was still holding the flashlight, and touched Finn's cheek with the back of his hand. Then he turned around and ran, pulling Finn with him, knowing that the wolf was right behind them.
They left the auditorium and found themselves in the corridor again.
“Don't look down!” Will screamed and continued running. He didn't want to switch off the light, but he didn't want Finn to see what was lying on the floor, either. There were people. Two guys, janitors. They were bleeding, some body parts were missing and they were obviously dead. This really was like some bad horror movie.
Suddenly he heard Finn screaming and felt his hand slipping away. Terrified of what he might see, Will turned around. Finn had slipped - again. He was lying on the floor, which was covered in blood. But there was no wolf. Will sighed in relief.
“Come on. Come on, Finn!” he hissed, grabbed Finn's hand again and pulled him back to his feet. Just because the wolf wasn't there yet didn't mean they weren't been followed any longer. Finn finally got back to his feet again and Will started running, dragging his student with him.
He finally saw another door in front of them, opened it and pulled Finn in behind him. Will locked the door behind them, although he doubted it would help. There were stairs leading downstairs, into the basement. Slowly Will went down the stairs, Finn close behind him. Downstairs, they found themselves in a room full of old furniture. Will walked towards an old couch sitting in the corner and sat down. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. They'd be safe here. The door upstairs was made of steel and the wolf wouldn't want to waste all its energy on trying to get through it. Hopefully. Finn was sitting down on his left. Will had to smile a little. He lived - and more importantly Finn lived too.
They were quiet for a few minutes. Both of them were still breathing heavily and no one wanted to break the silence. Though Will would have loved to hear Finn's voice. To be sure he was all right. Finn was covered in blood and Will wasn't completely sure if the blood was his own or if it belonged to the dead janitors, since Finn had slipped in their blood earlier.
“Shouldn't we call someone? Like, the police?” Finn finally broke the silence. Will was surprised that he didn't think of that first. After all, he was the grown up and was supposed to have the good ideas.
“Yeah, you're right,” Will answered and took his phone out of his pants pocket. He dialed 911 and tried to start the call.
“No signal. I can’t call from down here,” Will sighed. He put away his phone and closed his eyes. This was just perfect. Down here was probably the only safe place for them but it was simultaneously the only place where he wasn't able to call for help. Perfect.
And there was the quiet again. Will could hear Finn breathing, but he didn't say a word.
“So, what now?” Finn finally whispered. His voice sounded as if he was about to cry.
“I honestly don't know.” It almost broke Will's heart to have to say that. If only he were smarter, or braver - or anything that might be helpful in this situation. But he had no experience in being chased by a man-eating wolf. Will sighed, leaned forwards and placed the flashlight, which was still shining, on the floor in front of them. The beam of light hit the ceiling. He turned his head a little and looked at Finn. It was really dark in the room and he had a hard time determining Finn's facial expression. When he finally caught sight of it, his heart stopped for a second. Finn was crying. Will had to look away. He couldn't look at Finn crying. Not without having to cry himself.
“Please stop crying,” Will whispered very quietly. He wasn't sure if Finn heard him. The teacher closed his eyes, and concentrated on his own breathing. He needed to calm down. He needed to be strong. For Finn.
When he faced Finn again, the young man was still crying. Will sighed.
“Finn,” he whispered, raised his hand and touched his student's shoulder. Finn leaned into the touch, hesitated for a second and finally raised his own hand, pulling Will into a hug. Will moved a little bit closer, holding Finn in his arms. His student had his head pressed against Will's chest and was sobbing heartbreakingly.
Suddenly, Will heard a noise. It was a loud noise and it made him freeze immediately. Something was slamming itself against the cellar door. Something very big and very strong.
“Shhhh, please Finn, be quiet,” Will hushed Finn and tightened the hug. Finn was pressed against him even more and stopped sobbing instantly. Will even held his breath, while the wolf was slamming itself against the door over and over again.
Seconds passed, then minutes. Nothing happened. Finn was shaking in his arms, but he stayed quiet. At some point, Will started breathing again. And suddenly it was completely quiet again. They were still alone in the basement. The wolf was gone.
Will pushed Finn away a little bit, so that he was able to look the young man in the eyes.
“It's gone, Finn.” Will sounded all sorts of relieved. He closed his eyes for a second.
Finn moved a little bit closer and pressed his forehead against Will's. When Will heard Finn laughing, he opened his eyes again.
“It's gone,” Finn whispered. He was smiling. Will raised his hand and placed it on Finn's neck, keeping their foreheads pressed together. Will's eyes met Finn's. His expression made Will laugh, too. This situation was just so absurd.
Before Will was able to say anything else, Finn moved yet a little closer until his lips met Will's. He pressed his lips against Will's, who was shocked by the turn of events.
He thought about thousand thoughts at the same time. The loudest voice in his head told him to back off. Stop this really inappropriate kiss. He was just about to do so, when he realized that he actually liked the kiss. Very much.
Finn pulled away just a minute later.
“I'm sorry, Mr. Schue, this wasn't...I'm just so-,” Finn started to apologize, but Will interrupted, pressing his mouth against Finn's again. Finn seemed to be as surprised as Will was before. But after a few seconds, Finn parted his lips a little bit and allowed Will's tongue to enter. The older man deepened the kiss and pulled Finn even closer. Finn's hands were everywhere. Will could feel him unbuttoning his vest. A very loud voice in his head - the same voice he had heard earlier this evening, the one that sounded a lot like Rachel - started to scream “inappropriate” again. And when Finn groaned and started to unbutton Will's shirt, the teacher finally realized what he was doing. He broke the kiss off.
“Finn, stop. Please stop!” His voice sounded desperate. Will moved away from Finn a little and buttoned up his shirt. Finn was still touching him. One hand was at Wills waist, the other one was resting on his thigh.
“This cannot happen. I'm sorry, but this is wrong. Very wrong. You are my student and this is... wrong.” He sounded totally stupid, repeating the same words again and again. But he had problems thinking. Of course this was wrong. But why did every inch of his body want Finn that badly? Why were his lips burning after their very passionate kiss? Why did he feel more alive than he had felt in a very long time?
“Mr. Schue...,” Finn started to speak after a while. “I think the fact that we were chased by a people-eating-wolf-thing is wrong. This is just... it feels right to me.” Finn whispered the last sentence. Will wasn't even sure if that was what Finn had said. Nevertheless he had to laugh.
Indeed, the “people-eating-wolf-thing”, as Finn had called it, was the crazy part of the night. Compared to that, kissing his underage male student seemed quite normal. For a second he wondered if the other kids, hidden in the basement of the auditorium, were all right. If his phone wasn't working down here, theirs probably weren't working either. There was no way of contacting them. Well, except for leaving this place, risk getting eaten by the wolf and having a look themselves. This night was definitely the craziest night of his life.
After a minute or so Will looked at Finn again. Their eyes met. Will loosened his tie. What now? Finn didn't move. He was just looking at Will, probably thinking.
“What?” Will finally asked, raising one eyebrow. Finn was still watching him but not talking.
Finn hesitated for a second before he moved. He didn't say a thing, he simply moved closer to Will. And closer. Eventually there was very little space between them. Will could feel Finn's breath on his face, could smell it, could feel his body heat. And he didn't say a thing. He told his brain to shut the fuck up and closed his eyes, as Finn kissed him again. Slowly this time.
Finn raised his hand and put it on Will's shoulder, pushing him down on the couch.
Will was lying on the sofa, Finn lying on top of him. He was still kissing him and Will was kissing him back. Of course. Because he wanted this, wanted it bad. And now that Finn was on top of him, he had to feel how badly Will wanted him.
Will opened his eyes and saw that Finn was smiling. And he was undressing him again. Very quickly Will's tie ended up on the floor. The vest followed, then his shirt. Will could've sworn that Finn said “wow”, when he had removed his teacher's shirt.
Finn broke off the kiss and sat up. He started to undress himself. Even though it was dark in here, Will blushed at the sight of a half naked Finn.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Will asked, as Finn started to undo Will's belt. It was a stupid thing to ask, he knew. Finn was sitting on top of him, not the other way around! He had started the kissing and he had started the undressing. It was obvious, that Finn wanted this. Wanted Will. But nevertheless, he had to ask. After all, he was the older guy. He was the one taking advantage of a student. A student he had liked in an inappropriate way for a very long time now. Who was so much like himself. Will wanted this so badly. He had fantasized about this over and over. In his fantasies, he had always asked Finn if he wanted “this” before the two of them had sex. And since he was pretty much naked right now - Finn had removed his shoes and socks as soon as his belt was gone - he was sure that this would lead to sex. Every little bit of his body, his brain and his soul wanted this to lead to sex.
Finn took off his own shoes and socks. Both of them were only wearing their jeans, and Will wished that these were gone so badly. Finn suddenly stopped undressing. He looked down at Will and leaned a little closer. Will could see that Finn was smiling.
“I've never been more sure about anything in my life, Mr. Schue,” he said and smiled even more. Will opened his mouth to tell Finn that he should stop calling him “Mr. Schue”, because really, this wasn't helping the oh-my-god-I-am-about-to-sleep-with-my-underage-male-student thoughts at all. But before he could say anything, Finn's mouth was on his own again.
“I want this, Will,” Finn whispered against his lips. Hearing Finn calling him by his first name gave Will the chills. He started to remove Finn's jeans.
Just a few minutes later both of them were completely naked. Another few minutes later they had somehow switched positions. Will was on top of Finn now, kissing every inch he could reach of Finn’s beautiful body. And another few minutes later Will was inside of Finn, who groaned, first in pain, then in pleasure.
Finally - a few hours later - both of them were exhausted. Will's head rested on Finn's chest. He had his arms wrapped around his teacher, who was drawing little circles with his finger on his student's chest. Will was so tired. He had completely forgotten about the wolf, about the blood, about the deaths. All that he felt was happiness. He was about to fall asleep, when Finn whispered something.
“Will? I just wanted to say that I lo-... well. You know. I... Just, thank you.” Will smiled. Even though he couldn't see his face right now - because since the flashlight's batteries died a little while earlier it was completely dark in this room - he knew that Finn was blushing.
“You are very, very welcome Finn,” Will whispered back after a few minutes. He was smiling.
He was still smiling, and at the same time, in another part of the school's basement, the last not sleeping Cheerio turned off the light and fell asleep. They did it. They had survived.
He was still smiling, as he finally fell asleep himself - in the same moment that the full moon vanished from the sky, making place for the sun to rise.
And he was still smiling, as a big wolf crumpled, somewhere on the school grounds, and turned into a human being again.
