(no subject)
Somebody lost a kid at the library today right at closing time. :( But he was found (by the dad's car) after 15 minutes of anxious searching (and about a minute after the reference librarian got off the phone with the police).
I think I start my new job tomorrow. But I have yet to fill out any paperwork for it. And one of my first tasks as an LAII is going to be cleaning out a file drawer at the children's desk. -_-; Not sure why they couldn't have me do that as an LAI, or why they don't do it themselves since they know (vaguely) what's in the drawer and hence what they'll want to keep.
Today was really busy. Especially for the last hour or two, when the volunteer for the SRP left, thus leaving me to do reference questions and SRP stuff at the same time. Also, someone apparently wandered off with our prize box, so when a speedy reader came in today having completed 25 books, I didn't have any of the coupons to give him. :( I told him to come back tomorrow, so hopefully someone just took the coupons downstairs and forgot to bring them back up.
Things are looking up... :)
