Back from vacation
Actually, I got back yesterday afternoon but I've been too lazy to inform y'all of this. Sorry to have kept you in suspense. ^_~ And I'm still too lazy to do a real update, so I shall write up the details of my vacation tomorrow (possibly...). Plus, I still have to download the pictures I took from my camera to my laptop. And you wouldn't want a vacation update without the snazzy pics I took on my new digital camera to enhance it, now would you? =P
Oh, I'm rereading Anne of Green Gables and it's such a delightful romp. I love Anne's vivacity. Now I'll want to see the movie again. And this has also reminded me of Avonlea, a really cool show on the Disney channel when I was a kid. I miss the times when there was actually good stuff on TV. *sigh* At least there's Gilmore Girls (ooh, and the new season starts in like two weeks, I think! Omg, Rory was so mean at the end of last season. ;__; And Luke+Lorelei!!! *squee*).
Tonight I watched Persuasion, which was a good movie adaptation, even if they changed some of the details of the ending. I had just reread the novel a couple weeks ago. I'm working my way through Jane Austen again. After having suffered the agony of reading Mansfield Park for the first time earlier this summer (when I read Austen for the first time back in high school, a few people warned me that I probably wouldn't like Mansfield Park as much, so I didn't read it back then; now I have learned that they were perfectly correct), I wanted to reread the good Austen novels. So that's what I'm doing. Now I shall reread Pride & Prejudice in the next week or two, so as to coincide with the new film version coming out in the end of September (which I'm fairly certain I won't like, but am determined to see anyway).
And last but not least, there is water mysteriously coming up through the grout between the tiles in my bathroom and we cannot determine where it is coming from. =/ Hopefully we won't be flooded and hopefully we won't have to take up the lovely tiles in there.
