(no subject)
it's been raining today. LOTS. there are rivers of rushing water and gushing mud all across campus, and the pond behind my dorm is flooding a bit. i practically had to swim to the dining hall to get dinner and when i got back to my room my pants and shoes and socks were completely soaked (i gave up trying to keep my feet dry-ish 'cause pretty much the whole ground is covered in at least an inch of water). then i barely got dry before i had to go back out to go to work. now i'm back in my room and relatively dry, but i still feel unpleasantly like a wet cat...
at work, we had not one but two computers with a virus that makes the start menu and task bar disappear. and neither of the computers had shortcuts on the desktop to "my computer" or anything. but i am all clever-like and realized that you can get to that stuff via the recycle bin. we still couldn't do anything though. we determined that one of them was beyond our capacity to help, and the other one i ran a virus scan on, but it didn't find anything and then the shift was over so someone else gets to have fun with it tomorrow... mwaha! =P
now i have a headache and more thesising to do.
