the adware/etc. saga continues... >:-O
yeah. on my shift today, the PC was still being wonky. the total AdAware finds when i left again was 3368!!! -.-;; and it's still flipping out. i tried to help it, but it's beyond my virus-pwning skillz. i even looked at the CPU usage of the running processes and found two sketchy ones that were using like all the CPU, so i tracked them down and renamed them and then deleted them after rebooting. and it was still having a field day with popups. grrr. someone managed to convince one of the professional staff to reimage the machine, so it should be fixed-ish later today. i say "fixed-ish" because we really just need a new computer, since neither the floppy drive nor the CD drive actually work on this computer. which is lame 'cause we need to use those drives for our job. whatever.
thesis presentation tonight. >.< and i still haven't heard back from the advisor who refuses to acknowledge my existence. the plan is to resend my last email tonight if i still haven't heard from him, and probably include a new line like, "dude, wtf??? if you don't want to help me i kind of need to know NOW so i can go begging for another advisor." except with nicer wording. maybe. grrr. then if i still haven't heard from him by Friday morning, i'll cry to my nice advisor who actually helps me. ;__; you know, i'm at the point where i don't even WANT to work with this guy anymore. i mean, if he's not respectful enough to acknowledge my emails or tell me if he doesn't want to help me, then how helpful would he be if i actually ever did meet him? grrr. argh. wah! ;__;
today is National Meat Out Day. so we get vegetarian/vegan food for dinner.
