The Mushy Thanksgiving Post
Because I am ever so thankful for all of you! ♥ I try to show it throughout the year because saving it up for one (commercial) day is stupid (see also: Valentine's Day rants), but today's the day for saying it, just to make sure you all know.
First, I have the best parents, ever. Just so you know. They think I'm the best, too, so it works out nicely. :) They support me in everything I do: whether cheering me on at cross country meets in high school (of which they attended every local one I ran in) or letting me fly when I inexplicably became an East Coast girl. They are even willing to fetch me from the L.A. airport so I can be hugged right away and get home sooner. I absolutely would not be where I am without them cheering me on and helping me out with tuition and term papers and applications.
And then I have a really fabulous set of friends! Around the world, even! (That is still really cool to me, even though I've been playing internationally via LJ for four years now.) I may have bouts of grumps or sulks or doubts, but overall my life is really great and I owe a lot of that to you. Even if I don't specifically ask for hugs or help, I know I've got people in my corner. You guys make me smile so much and that really does make anything better. I think you are just the most amazing set of people. (And you mostly seem to think I am awesome, too, which is sometimes baffling but always delightful.) You are my team!
