I am now a master of public transportation around here, go me!

Okay, maybe not quite a master, but I did manage to get to the Uni and back on the Metrobus. I feel quite accomplished. (At least as regards transportation...)

AND when I got back from the Uni, there was a beautiful package of Hope's Cookies waiting for me on the doorstep from the ever-so-thoughtful Jennie. :D (Hope's Cookies, they're like the best cookies in the world, next to home-made. Everywhere there's a Peace-A-Pizza, there's a Hope's Cookies adjacent to it, and that was the best business combination ever, in my opinion. There was one in Bryn Mawr within walking distance and it was a glorious weekend treat [also, they were located across the street from Borders, what more could I want?]. Ah, those were the days....)

So while I was at the Uni, I got one textbook (Theories of Information Behavior ~ doesn't it sound just fascinating?) and the other course didn't have any books listed yet, at least not for my section. Hopefully this will be clarified at some time.

Then I went to the Career Center because I could not for the life of me figure out how to register for their online job listing thing so as to look up and apply for on-campus jobs. So the nice friendly lady at the reception desk clarified that for me, and I went merrily on my way. I went to the McKeldin library where the nice friendly person at the information desk pointed me towards a computer lab so I could check my email and gave me a map of the whole library. (The map is helpful, but I was also pleased to discover that I still remember my old haunts at Canaday: the good old PNs-PRs [fiction, literature, lit crit], and the GRs [fairy tales and folklore].)

So after I made it home, I logged onto the Career Center website, now knowing the secret to registering for the job listing site. I filled out the lovely form and clicked 'submit'. It told me I would be contacted shortly with further instructions. I checked my email obsessively (because I really would like a job so I can have an income and feel a bit more secure). I finally got the email saying my registration was successful and giving me further login instructions. I attempted to login with my shiny new username and password ... and it took me back to the friggin' registration form. Of course this didn't happen until after 5pm, so now I can't call them until tomorrow. T_T I want a job!
