It all ends - orly?

A lot of people have said - and written, all over the internet - that with the last Harry Potter movie a part of them ended (or died as some of the more dramatic folks liked to put it). They argue that Harry Potter has been a part of their lives for so long (and depending on their age, a part of their childhood), and now it all ends.

I'd like to call bullshit on that.

I don't know about you, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing has ended, at least not yet.
Sure, the hype will probably fade over time (untill, some twenty years down the line, our children will eagerly await the new Harry Potter movies while rolling their eyes at us, their parents, who are still nostalgic about our movies). Less and less people will run around calling themselves Potterheads. The amount of fanfiction written and fanarts drawn will slowly go down.
Because that's how things are. The worls moves on.
But not yet.

I'm planning at least one Harry Potter life action role play next year, to play my cheerful Hufflepuff girl once more. I'd also like a chance to play my newly created Slytherin character. I'm about to cosplay Draco Malfoy for the first time next weekend, after having been told I look like him about a gazillion times (when cosplaying Germany).

I want to re-read the books and re-watch the movies, and compare them.
So I'm sorry if I'm not joining the drama parade, but I'm not ready for a tearful goodbye. Ask me again in a year or so, but don't hold your breath. I might be a while.
