Happy Birthday, Anna!!
First of: I apologize that this is an unfinished work in progress. I knew it was going to be an epic but still didn't get it done in time. >///<;; I had fun writing it though, and I WILL finish it, however long it's going to get

Ah, yes, because there are few things in the world that are more fun than fictional Daddy issues. <3
*read the whole thing this morning before university*
I LOVE IT. In caps.
Well, of course I do, regarding that it includes Mokuba going through puberty (and visiting dubious clubs in gay (sexy) outfits, coming home late and throwing up right infront of Seto afterwards included) - I enjoyed that scene so much. :3 Can't believe how much I like Mokuba and his relationship to Seto if some issues arise.
I especially love how you take your time and introduce the three brothers, all with their own personal problems - and I really love Noah's waking up and rehabilitation process. Noah's love for daddy is such a sad thing! And so I love every mentioning you put in there.
Your character interpretation is indeed perfect - he is his father's son and his attitude is so wonderfully spoiled. <3 ( ... )

Ain't it the truth. XD And no one does daddy issues better than the Kaiba brothers... except maybe Zuko, lol.
Anyway, the "cut" title came to me spontaneously, but by now is kinda like the fic's sub title in my head. Gozaburo Kaiba was a strong influence on both boys, as a good or bad father figure is debatable, and they both strive for recognition, from the world, their father, and themselves. In terms of parents, "recognition" and "love" are very closely intertwined. Taking into account the fact that Seto lost his own parents early on he focused to much stronger on himself, while at the same time Gozaburo's influence filled that gap whether he wanted it to or not. Mokuba is another thing altogether, because Seto is both brother and parent to him. Hence his need for love from him.

Heh, since you did give me that dialogue and I loved it like a cute kitten, I just HAD to use it.
(Still, when I read the way you write dialogues I realize I have yet some way to go until I'll write good fanfics in English. ^^")<(i>
The changes are mostly what happens when your writing goes through the Jeanne-filter. And I had to fit it into the "flow" of the scene, so adjustments had to be made. Your writing is just fine and don't let anyone tell you different!
I was very confused since you first told me about it, because I remember you being only mildly interested in that subject ages ago... so I was wondering for days and days what this fanfic would be like and if it would have ANYTHING to do with the AU idea we developped.I thought the ENS we exchanged on that topic were kinda ( ... )

Aber wem sag ich das, bei dir geht es ja auch in die heiße Phase... ^^"
But now to far more <>s>important enjoyable things! <3
Love pretty much every word of what you said about the Kaiba brothers and their various issues with their father figures.
Discovering characters and their relations while writing them is the only thing that gets me writing at all. Except for porn, maybe. Most of the time, it's both.
I appreciate that you want it all to really *work* somehow, although YGO is just silly and its science doesn't make any sense at all. It's what I almost love most about YGO: to take all that ridiculous nonsense seriously and try to make sense of it all.
It's a guilty pleasure and I really love to see this in fanfic. <3 I know you like things to be as realistic as they can ( ... )
