Birds! On TV! (Cat photos)
Misty has recently become interested in watching TV, something she has never been interested in before.
Sometimes it's obvious what she finds appealing. These are from a nature show on bowerbirds that both cats found fascinating. Interestingly, I'd watched some of these segments the night before, but decided to re-watch them because I'd been distracted with knitting problems. The night before I watched them during what was (apparently) naptime and neither cat so much as twitched an ear. Cats, go figure.
However, sometimes it's not as clear what's so interesting. The other day Misty was intensely interested in a segment of "Good Eats." That one I figured out... the scene was outside and there were bird noises in the background. But this morning she watched with rapt fascination as "Good Eats" showed a series of pictures of different varieties of sweet potato. I haven't got a clue on that one.

I got some Halloween cupcakes from the grocery store with plastic bat and black cat decorations. Naturally, there was some frosting left on the decoration after I removed it and ate the cupcake, and Stormy being Stormy, naturally that meant she needed to steal it while I wasn't looking, carry it off, and start chewing on it. :sigh:
