In or out, cat!
The problem with letting the cats out on their harnesses is that Misty becomes unhappy if I close the door. She doesn't necessarily want to GO in, mind you. She just wants to be ABLE to go in if she decides she wants to.
This makes sense from her point of view. After all, inside the apartment lies safely from the many dangers of the Great Outdoors, including dogs, 3-year-olds, rap music, and the alarming clattering sound as the neighbor pours charcoal briquettes in his grill. Plus, if the apartment door isn't open you have to barf up the grass you just ate outside instead of on the living room rug, which isn't really civilized. (Only STRAY cats barf outdoors.)
However, this means I get bugs wandering into the apartment. Which is just adding to the fun as far as the ladies are concerned, but which annoys ME...
