Lent

Instead of giving something up for Lent, why don't people commit to something they're going to try to make a habbit for the next 40 days?
I want to be a more patient person, so I commit to concentrating on my patience with other people, and with events in general, until Easter.
If you make anything a habit for more than 21 days, you are more likely to commit to it for good.
Even if you're not a Christian, the opportunity to think about the positive and negative elements in your life can be a valuable one. Anyone can give up chocolate for a month or so, but it takes a greater degree of analysis to determine what is making you and those around you unhappy, and to think about what might make the world a better place.
