I kept thinking of the blooper with that first scene too.
Merlin's little comeback was very clever.
I loved Arthur's reactiont os omeone finding Merlin attractive.
I think the bar fight was a lto of fun. It looked it anyway.
Why do so many men appear shirtless in Camelot? Why does Gwaine have (presumably) bloodstained pants with a hole on and yet wears no shirt?
Arthur needs to stop throwing things at Merlin whilst his back is turned.
I can't buuy Arthur.Gwen weither. For exactly the reasons you mention. We never see them actually have any romance just longing looks. They barely itneract at all really except for those longing looks or to ocassionalyl declare how they can't be together. Which isn't a romantic relationship to me.
And like you say Arthur is mroe open with Melrin. He's more honest. Even the fact he's a prat in fornt of Mlerin means he's more himself, more honest with Merlin than he is with Gwen.
They ahd some lovely expressions. And it was nice to see Merlin smiling for a change.
And yes. Gwen neevr sees Arthur as a person as just a man. She's always seeing him as a future king. As a great man in the making. She's not seeing the real Arthur. She sees what she wants him to be.
I wonder what Uther was really like before Ygraine died.
The scene before the melee was a nicer Merlin/Arthur one. He cares what Merlin thinks.
Hee hee a knight sleeps in Merlin's bed so he must leave.

I did like the ending. Nice bit of Merlin/Arthur.
