[Castiel looks quite a bit more normal now than he did the last time he made a post himself, steadfastly pretending the last post and the accompanying event never occurred. He's inside the Temple, and there's a window behind him; it's dark outside, but the snowfall is still visible through the glass.]It has been snowing for the past three days. Is ( Read more... )

[Give him a second to try to read that expression. Eventually he tilts his head slightly.]

Is there an issue?

Why did you kill it? Are there not enough animals?

-=Even worse? Doling out scales and other body parts for.... magical uses really hits a chord.=-

[He has the distinct impression that the truthful answer would not be appreciated, and is wondering a bit at himself for even knowing that. However he does have a good and semi-truthful answer.]

There are few that would serve an array of practical uses, or yield so many supplies.

Such as?

-=Meat, skin and fur. Bladders and intestines to carry water. Oil from fat for light. Hawke knows it all too well and is still wondering about the dragon.=-

There are other creatures out in the wastes. Creatures with fur and hide that are useful.

Why are dragons unacceptable?

[Because dragons certainly serve uses, so the issue can't be about killing something for no reason. Therefore it must be about the specific creature, as far as he reasons.]

My father is dragon-souled.

-=Though he knows that these dragons are not like the ones back home. They don't speak past body language, as far as he can tell.=-

[His head tips farther to the side. Okay, so there is some sort of kinship then; he can understand that, he supposes. However if the dragon itself is not related, which is likely isn't considering the differences in worlds, he's still not sure why it's a problem.]

Do you have some relation to the dragons here?

I helped a blue female with severe injuries from careless people here.

-=More than likely the juvinille's mother.=-

[Two of his older siblings killed an adult dragon a few days ago, unbeknownst to Castiel, which is likely why this one was alone. Whether or not it was the same as Hawke had helped... Quite possibly. He doesn't even know it occurred though.

Also he's a little more interested in the logistics of that than anything else s-sob.]

It allowed you near it to assist?

-=Hawke will not like this. SOB.=-

Yes. -=And that tone makes it seem as if Hawke's surprised Cas even has to ask=-

[Angels kill things when they get upset s-sob as do hunters in their world. SO YEAH.]

It probably recognized you as a related being.

We understand each other.

-=As do Kirin, at times. But they don't go around partitioning off their enemy like they were no better than a deer, either.=-

Do they speak?

[He's curious now, totally off the previous topic.]
