Busy busy! Practiced, sang in masterclass, and had two rehearsals today (one trio and one mass choir). The mass choir is for a concert called "Sound the Pipes" in which three choirs are getting together and singing with Nicholas Fairbanks playing the organ. First rehearsal with everybody and the organ today! Among other things, we're doing Mendelssohn's "Hear My Prayer" and "I Was Glad" by Hubert Perry. What a trip to be singing double forte with 80 other people and the organ doing bass tremolos that shake the floorboards! I can tell our director really lives for this stuff - some of the most genuine smiles I've ever seen from him happened during this rehearsal.
In other news (well, life events anyway), I've been watching last season of So You Think You Can Dance for the last week or so. It's having a rather negative effect on my homework productivity ;) but it's so addictive. Though the stupid DivX player is not helping in the slightest. I am now encountering my third type of error since installing it, each of which has involved a highly inconvenient workaround. (Haven't actually found the workaround for this one yet - last time I had to download a little program someone had made specifically to clear all the temp files.) Ah well, I suppose this is what I get for watching my content illegally on the Internet. :P
Have I mentioned before that Green & Black's organic dark chocolate bars with dried sour cherries are divine? I don't think I have. It is trufax. (I am writing this post primarily on borrowed energy from the caffeine contained in one of these bars, which was a Very Bad Idea to eat right now, but... I have no excuse. Om nom nom nom.)
ETA: Maybe I should just buy some dried cherries. They have less caffeine, and are potentially less expensive ($3.50 per 100g bar on sale is a bit steep!). :P
