I generally don't like to think of myself as one who wishes bad things for people. I feel a little bit of shame for my glee at the death of Jerry Falwell, not much, but some -- there are a lot of well-meaning but gullible folks out there who were hurt by his death, and I sincerely hope that his legacy does not grow posthumously.
However, my biggest problem with Justice Roberts' seizure was that it was supposedly harmless. Among all the truly harmful things Bush has done to this country, perhaps the most lasting will be the people he's gotten into the Supreme Court. Well, perhaps we can hope for a more serious issue about 20 months from now, so we can get him out and a more sane person in as chief justice.
I'm waiting for it to become legal for a protective order to be placed on an unborn child "in danger of abortion"... I hope it doesn't come to that, but I would not be too surprised if someone tried it.
