So the coming and typing with regularity was pretty much a fail.  After going back to work I didn't go to the library which is where I started this.  Not that I don't have my own computer, I do, as I am using it now.  For social distancing reasons the library is not an option anyway.  I need to pull my actual computer out more often.   This would ( Read more... )

Sometimes it's just hard to want to to talk to people - especially when you don't know yourself what you feel/want. You can still get out of course, go find a quiet corner of a park. Take a book, electronic or otherwise, and just veg. It's not lazy to replenish yourself. You have to be able to feel complete to have that mental clarity. Depression, even light, is a hard thing to master, when you can't run away from the hobgoblins in your brain. Having to face them every day is hard. This is why I play video games. It's an escape. And music, musn't forget about that. Keeps me sane being able to feel that outside emotive force.

Exercise, of course also helps, drown out the hobgoblins with endorphins. While of course zumba is a more high impact thing, there are plenty of ways to practice yoga, even if you have bad joints. :( Finding the right one is admittedly probably an exercise all of itself. Personally, one of the exercises I enjoy the most is the rowing machine - it's solitary, the flywheel drowns out your own thoughts - it's almost like meditating. I bring it up because its easy on the joints! Of course right now it may just be easier to do rowing on an actual water than in a gym. :) Me, I still go to a park here - it's quiet, out of the way, and the terrain is pretty tough on sections, so it keeps me moving.

I'm sorry about the cooking thing - that would drive me nuts. I <3 cooking, and it's an act of love. If someone else doesn't like it, why not let you do it. So weird. That applies for a lot of things in life. Not everyone enjoys everything, it's not a failure to let someone else who does enjoy a thing do the thing.

Keep on trucking pixikins.

My dads favorite was rowing too.

Yoga and the bad joints thing is true but at the same time its not really bad joints i mean it is but its not at this point i cant really put enough weight and range of motion to go in and out of down dog. That's kind of a basic. I'll figure it out. Its also a money thing classes which is what I really like cost a fair amount of money more than just a gym membership. Not a big gym person never really have been...... that may have to change those are way less costly than classes.

need more food for thought

Lots of exercise classes on the youtubes as well. Re memberships, can get good value for a ymca membership and swimming is low on joint pain and they usually have some yoga classes kickin' around.
