With Andre in Japan finding out exactly how expensive it is to be a Geisha's danna, particularly the danna of such a highly celebrated Geisha as Miko Tanaka, it fell to Cammeron to meet up with Miguel in the Dionysus bar to give him the news about Giles' death. Miguel didn't quite seem to understand.

The Scions waited quietly while the fire giants went crackling past outside, but at last the door opened and Hilda and Ragnar came back in. With them was another dwarf, taller than them, with a regal bearing, and wearing a crown. They introduced him as Sigurd. He asked to see the statues.

Things had quietened down for a few weeks, and the Scions were able to live something approaching normal lives for a while. Miguel went back to Spain to play football, and Tyler went off on holiday to go base jumping. Down the stairs they went, with the air growing strangely warmer. After they had walked for some time they heard a roaring sound ahead of them, at at the bottom of the stairs they found their way blocked by a waterfall of fire.

The scions (including Cammeron, who'd apparently been following them for a while) waited quietly outside the satyrs' cave while sounds of revelry came from within. Sounds which eventually died down to nothing.

Before meeting with Orabella again, the Scions decided to go and track down the hoofed creature that had desecrated the church. Giles decided to bring along Cordelia and Gunn to provide extra muscle, leaving the rest of his minions with Kaneshiro and Cammeron. Entry to the outer grounds above the catacombs was achieved by having everyone who could jump really high jump over the walls while carrying those who couldn't. With that achieved it was a relatively simple matter for Cammeron to pick the lock of the iron gate leading down into the catacombs.
