Happiness is...getting enough sleep :)
So I began this week with this annoying habit of waking up at exactly 2:08 am every night (or morning I guess). Needless to say I would be exhausted when I got up - I finally started going back to sleep on Wednesday and last night I went to bed early and woke up at 2:18 am but thankfully I still feel rested... I guess I should be thankful for having an internal alarm even if it is currently misfiring *sigh*
I'm feeling rather celebratory this morning because I finally got the thing I've been working on for a week to do what I wanted it to...it was supposed to be simple but for some reason it took me 3 days to accomplish. I'm not done with the enhancement yet but I'm glad to be half way there. Work has been kind of slow lately so I don't have any listed tasks which is hard. But I've been trying to keep myself busy anyway although I do hate it when its like this.
I'm glad tomorrow is Friday. This week has dragged by. I have a dentist appt in the morning to go over my xrays and I'll find out how many cavities I have and how many new fillings I need. I guess I wouldn't care all that much about it but our dental insurance is such that it only covers up to a certain amount which I find annoying. It should cover everything. Its not like I'm getting plastic surgery. Its my teeth. *sigh*
Tracy and I are going to JoAnn's this weekend to pick out fabric for some projects we'll be working on. She's going to start learning to quilt and I want to make some curtains for our house. I haven't sewn since high school so I figured curtains would be a nice low-key sewing project where I can get familiar with my grandma's sewing machine.
Nate is going to California to visit Bob and then to Florida starting next Thursday and he'll be gone until the following Friday. I hate it when he goes but I'm glad he gets the chance to travel and I know he enjoys it so what can I do? I just need to brush up on my snow blowing skills before he leaves in case we get buried. Beth and I are hanging out the day after he leaves so that will be nice and I know that Corinne & I are going to do something. So my friends will keep me busy (anyone else who wants to take pity on me is welcome). And when I'm not hanging out with friends there is always the Sims :) I'm planning on getting another expansion pack to keep me occupied while he is gone since they are so cheap right now.
I'm looking forward to the superbowl although I'm not sure where the party is going to be or if there will even be one. I toyed with the idea of hosting it but I don't want to get into it when I'm the only one home. When I host I like having someone else there for moral support so you're like a team. So Becky & I have decided that if there is no party I may just get together with her and Madura and we'll watch the superbowl together. Nate and I were invited to one in Webster but I don't want to drive all the way up there by myself not to mention I don't think I'd know anyone except for the folks that are hosting it...
Anyway I have to get back to beating on this enhancement...is it 5 yet?
