Good News/Bad News

Oct 11, 2005 18:43

So I have good news and I have bad news.

The good news is:
  • I got a second job, which brings my biweekly earning total up to $250+.
  • I took my GREs again, and my scores went up from 640 (verbal), 470 (quantitative) to 650 (verbal) and 580 (quantitative).
  • Snitch has officially finished her meds.
  • Scott's RENT scarf is almost done! Three more stripes, end-weaving, and fringe.
  • It's almost Ren Faire weekend!

    The bad news is:
  • I won't get the first big paycheck for another two weeks, and I'm getting lowish on funds.
  • Even though the GREs are done, the horror that is applying to nine clinical psych programs is now beginning.
  • Snitch may have to go back to the vet. Her belly's been bothering her - and we'll leave it at that so I don't need to get TOO graphic. I took in a sample today so they could take another peek, but we're all betting it's just her system expelling the rest of the coccsidiosis bacteria as a result of the deworming meds.
  • I need to order at least six GRE score reports. You can send them for free to four schools at the end of your testing session, and I'm applying to nine programs, but at least one requires two score reports. *shakes fist* I need to check the rest. At $15 each, that means I need to shell out another $90+ that I don't have. Yet.
  • I still need to finish Scott's scarf. I love Scott, so the scarf shall be finished. But by god, I'm so sick of that thing. I upped the pattern to 45 stitches on size 10.5 needles, with only 15 rows per stripe, and it's STILL boring the dickens out of me. It's all that stockinette. I've discovered that I'm a seriously ADD knitter. It makes me nervous about my ability to ever finish a sweater, hence why I haven't started one. I did, however, treat myself to 2 balls of Noro Kureyon in #88 (I love the color...and it contains no blue, which is odd) to make the armwarmers from Stitch N Bitch Nation. They're cabled. I've never done cables, but I bet they'll keep me interested. So I need to finish the never-ending scarf soon so I can get the armwarmers done before it really gets fall-like. :)

Edited to add: Some good news: SEXAY Lady Jess and her boyfriend are coming to visit! YAY! And some bad news: Wicther's coccidia still is not cleared up, so now that she's off the Sulfa drug, she's on new dewormer: Albon. So that means 11 more days of bunny wet-nursing. She's lucky she's cute. ;)
