expensive items

I tried to check and see what books I would need for my classes, and since I already have what I'm fairly sure they'll be using as the Pscyh 101 book, I really shouldn't have to buy very much. I can't believe the psych statistics class doesn't want me to buy a book, so I'm assuming they just haven't told the school bookstore to order anything yet. ( Read more... )

Heeee! Yuko's last name is Tsutsui, but she finds it neat that someone else is named Yuko on campus. BTW if you need someone to practice Japanese with I have two friends who speak Japanese (one is Japanese and the other was married to one and has lived there for many years).

I am generally embarassed to practice my Japanese with anyone other than Chelsea due to my general incoherency and tendancy to take a very long time mentally struggling to remember how to conjugate a verb or adjective, but thank you for the offer. I intend to have little children one day who will grow up learning Japanese and will have automatic life-skills from being bilingual, thus never having to be worried about struggling over conjugation. We all want the best for our children.

Hrmm that is a good idea, the only thing I want for my childern is for them to be immune to the plague which I will eventually loose on the entire world. Although... if somehow the Japanese were immune to the plague as well then learning Japanese would become a vital skill!

I need to brush up on my Japanese. If you want to practice with me... you won't feel bad because I do the long pauses too. Plus I stutter - which is very bad when trying to say mora. Kishi-sensei always seemed to think I didn't know the words when I was just taking a bit to get them to come out of my mouth. :P

I worked at the Bookstore in summer 2003. Many profs don't actually tell the Bookstore what they want until the last minute - or sometimes around a quarter past the last minute. :P And sometimes profs change their mind and decide they do want a book. The best is when they told the store on the first day of class they wanted a book and then told their students to go to the Bookstore and get it. Or told them to get a different book (he had changed his mind but not told us yet) so the students come in wanting a book we don't have and we tell them to buy the one on the shelves because that's what we were lost told. :P

Sometimes you can find the books in the public library though. :D

The book being too expensive is a crappy reason to drop a class. If you want to take a class and the book is too expensive ( ... )

Ummm together would probably be fine, if we share we will really have to keep it somewhere where we both can acess it (easily when living together) cause math has homework. But sharing is cheaper.
