Censorship of the Internet

This law would severely stifle the creativety of the internet.  The best innovations come when ideas and speech are not restricted in anyways; when you can say or do anything without fear of government reprisal.  The internet is the last true free place in the world and it should never be censored or regulated in this way.  I do think that piracy is hurting the studios, because studios make movies for the money.

What it means is that studio must find more innovative ways to make the DVD's more preferable than a digital copy pirated from the internet.  I download many pirated copies of movies off the internet and I also buy many DVD's.  Most of my DVD's I own I got on sale at Blockbuster or somewhere else for really cheap or I have special versions (such as the extended edition LOTR DVD's) that have tons of special features.  I was watching my sister's blue ray copy of Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides today.  There was a feature where you could watch the movie on your tv, and explore how that part of the movie was made in real time on your laptop.  That is an example of innovative thinking to entice people to buy the movie instead of pirating.  My view for me is that I pirate movies unless there is a good reason for me to buy the DVD.  It can be simple as finding it for $5 in the bargain bin or it being loaded with special features not found in the pirated versions.  I like digital versions of my movies because I use a server at home to store them and stream them to the computers and my xbox at home. If I had a way to purchase digital copies of the movies online, I probably would sign up for it.  My internet connection is a small DSL so it doesn't work to stream to my house through the internet while others are using the internet
