Monty Python quotes aside, I'm really not dead. Buried under a mountain of homework, yes. Dead, no.
Also, I was accepted into the AmeriCorps program so I will now be able to offset some of my education costs by doing community service. Which I have to do anyway for my classes. It's pretty sweet. :)
This semester I'm doing tutoring with the STAR reading program at one school and special needs tutoring at another school. (Which is mostly reading with a little math mixed in just to spice things up.)
Yes, the dyscalculic girl is tutoring in math. *dies of the lulz*
I'll probably keep the STAR tutoring next semester if I can and then next summer I plan to see if I can help with some Habitat for Humanity work during the schooling off season. I'm sort of (read: really, really OMJ *FLAILS*) excited.
I've also got my fingers crossed that I'll get a letter in the next week regarding my acceptance to the Elementary Education program at my school. Otherwise, I'm just doing my best to stay afloat and not stress too much over the future. -_-;
And with that, I must dive back into the homework. If I don't surface before then, Happy Halloween and Happy Thanksgiving to all my loverly flisties!
