I see people nitpicking on this, saying that "Oh, it can't take place in LA," or "Oh, it's in 1972; LoM's supposed to be in 1973." When you nitpick, you usually aren't that bothered about a thing. Guys, there's way more wrong with this remake than just the fact that it's 1972.
Sam Tyler is BUFF! And not emo! That was HALF the bloody show, man, Sam's emo! And Gene is SHORTER than Sam and not the LEAST bit intimidating! It makes my brain hurt is what's wrong. I really, really hope that trailer is just shite for the sake of shite and not representative of the show itself. I was willing to give it a chance, but it's not different enough to be intriguing and all those little alarm bells in my head are going to be going off, screaming "That's not right, you missed a bit there! That's wrong! Wrong wrong wrong, GENE GET PLATFORM SHOES YOU GIT." I really, really hope(d) they take this in another direction NOW.
