Fred may have located a breakthrough in our continuing quest to send Melaka home.
Fred took a look through the tomes that Prince Vlad left behind in the hotel. Apparently, there is mention of a ritual that was used by the gypsy clan that lived outside his castle. Apparently, there was a temporal field around the castle, used to modulate the effects of sunrise and sunset, in the event that the Prince was caught in an exposed area. It may take some tinkering, but it's entirely possible that we may be able to convert that spell to place Melaka outside of the flow of normal time, until her century catches up to her again.
It's not ideal, but it's the best we've been able to come up with. I don't have Rupert Giles' facility for making something of nothing, unfortunately.
It's entirely possible that something can be saved from all of this, however, with a telephone call to Rupert's shop in Sunnydale...
