I'm here! Uwaaahhhh... dokidoki shitemasu!!!
It's finally today I can see this ❤
So this morning I took my mom to Mount Elizabeth again in Orchard. She had to do some follow ups with her doc since yesterday we went in too late. We arrived Orchard a little too early at around 10am (her appointment was 11am), so we did a short walk round Orchard to Somerset and back. One of the hidden purpose was actually I wanted to take that banner pic of the show :p So after confirming the banner location (it's on the side of Mandarin Orchard), we went back to the Med Center and my mom did her necessary check ups and such.
Along the way I also took time to pick up Ko Wei's Funko Pop from his friend. So after me and mom separated (she went out with her friend), I went back to that Mandarin Orchard alley to take photo of the banner.
Are...? Where was the banner? It was here, I recalled, I just re-checked a couple hours ago, now it is gone already??? It was 12pm. Feeling unsatisfied, I went back and forth circling Mandarin Orchard/Gallery thay building, and still couldn't find it. Weird. I almost gave up when I saw some men in jumpsuits taking up a ladder and did some works on the lightbulb on the street. Oh well, it's weird the banner just disappeared, but probably, just probably Saturday was the expiry of the placement, I dunno. In the end I didn't find it.
This was taken on Friday on the way from Airport to Mount E.
So I walked towards Somerset, took a train back to Bugis, and had my lunch at the HongKong Restaurant before heading back to hotel.
Signature Chicken Thigh And Shrimp In Dry Noodle
Signature Milk Pudding - it was superb! It's really delicious, only the portion was a bit too big. Shouldn't have eaten a noodle portion just before this. Would be perfect for a snack in between meals. No wonder the waiter was a bit surprised when I ordered these 2 meals myself.
The extravagant lunch costed me SGD 24 (ouch, expensive~). Then I went back to hotel to drop Ko Wei's Funko Pop, then head directly to Marina Bay Sands. Luckily the hotel was in the middle of Bugis & Esplanade, so this time I took another way towards Esplanade and boarded the Circle Line MRT to Bayfront.
So I arrived. Dokidoki.
Then I saw a flock of Japanese girls here and everywhere. And btw there seemed to be more Japanese here in Singapore. Even in Orchard today I saw many Japanese. It couldn't possible because of this show, could it???
And the shocking this is....
This is insane. These Japanese people are crazy. This ridiculously long queue only to buy the goods...!!! I thought people are queuing to enter the Theatre (which I never experienced before and it puzzled me), so I asked to some guards. They seemdled to not be very clear about it either, 2 guards I asked to only said "it's a Japanese event. It's a queue to the show." Ridiculous, I think, so I asked again to a Japanese staff who seemed to understand better.
Apparently yes, the queue is for the goods. While for the show itself, my barcoded printed ticket from Sistic was already sufficient to enter the show. Means tomorrow if I'm going to purchase the DVD (will wait and see from today's performance), I will need to queue that line. Ugh.
So well, the performance is starting.
Until then!
