charloft: History with music

Apr 12, 2009 21:50

What is your relationship and history with music? Tell us what music means to you, and what musical moments have been definitive in your life.

Well.

The first principle is, Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole.

Good thing to keep that in mind.

Especially since most of the time, I'm driving.

Second one down, don't you dare douche my baby up again, Sammy! Ever!

Anyhoo.

As ... it has been prompted to me in a nightmare occurred to me, generally the music that I listen is dad's. Sam may laugh all he wants to about the mullet rock golden collection, but it's still good damn music. And he's singing along just as much as I am. Well, almost as much. He knows it and loves it.

Music... we drive a lot. Long long drives, like eight hours a day sometimes. So music, that keeps us sane sometimes. Sure we talk. We talk a lot of the time, discussing cases, arguing, deciding what to eat next, stuff. But you can't really talk for eight hours straight, every day. Even if the one not driving naps now and again. Just... sometimes, it's good to have something distracting to fill up the car.

Or sing along to.

Singing along to the music? You've no idea how much good it may do. You know, just distract, for a moment, from the crap that's happening. Make you just yell out and relax and feel good. For a bit. Good road, good car, good music to sing to, and my brother beside me. Yeah, that's definitely along the lines of good times.

Oh and definitive music moments? Pretty much every time I heard new Zeppelin stuff growing up.

Or, you know. AC/DC. Or others.

Yeah. Even Bon Jovi rules. ... on occasion!
