honestly, so far it's all been pretty kickass. i'm shooting for a nice relaxing summer while working.
this past weekend was the first trip up to the hermitage on the ottawa river, and goddamn is it sweet! the water is freaking cold so you can't go swimming too terribly much, but it's sooo nice up there. not only that, but the canoe from the parking lot to the cottage is pretty minimal. i could probably do it solo.
brunger has said he wants to teach me how to drive standard so i can take over some of the driving every now and then.
i've got fuzzy mildew on my pepper plants and it continues on my babies, but sooner or later i'm going to pick up a hardcore fungicide and kill it all dead. it's fucking pissing me off enough. i wanted to stay with an organic solution, but i don't want to be shipping something in from oregon when i need it right off the bat (i.e. the next week or so).
in about a month i hope to harvest the first smoke from my plants and move them up to the hermitage. the island they're going on is going to be quite easy to populate.
