Things I've realized in the past week
In memphis:
... being a drunk mess is bad
... not everyone is as critical of me as I think
... the power of one kiss is incredible
... the difference between cute and "cute for you" is a big one
... memphis is ghetto
... I need to be patient
... I should not worry about things beyond my control
... I shouldn't be afraid to be myself
Outside of memphis:
... these next two months are going to be long
... these next two months can be short
... it feels great to be a good friend to someone
... smiling is important
... I need to not look sad
... making the most out of a boring, awkward situation is easy with a friend

"Forget for this moment the smog and the cars and the restaurant and the skating and remember only this. A kiss may not be the truth, but it is what we wish were true."
God, I hope that it was/is the truth.
