Evolution in human consciousness
Here I define consiousness as our ability to interpret the world around us, meaning of life, past and future.
It is easy to justify evolution in physical body by its attempts to adapt to environment. What if consciousness has also evolved? Maybe at some point there were humans with ability to see the future, but they did not survive because it was too hard. Maybe some knew and could interpret the meaning of life, but could not live just due to that.
