After working out hard almost every single day for the last 5 and half months (burning an average of 650 calories per session) to get myself into better shape (I've lost 60 pounds, and now have a resting heart rate of 54 - which is said to be excellent), I have really lazed around and ate for the past three days. In fact, I have done nothing at all but sit and watch television. I have enjoyed the break (I think it has done me good) but from today it’s time to get back on track, as the inactivity is starting to negatively impact upon my mood (and I don’t want to pile  the pounds back on!). A lovely long walk around Richmond Park is in order, I long to see the trees and the deer again; they are like trusted old friends, so smoothing and heart-warming. Exercise is the number one best mood enhancer: it's free and one hundred present natural. It can’t be beat! That is the truth.

Not long to the 30th of December now... hurray! I am really looking forward to getting away from my regular life for a little bit. Bagpipes at the ready, Edinburgh awaits! I shall be staying at a hotel on Princes Street, so right in the heart of my most favourite city. I haven't been on a vacation for YEARS now.  FREEDOM!

Every year my new year's resolution has been pretty much the same, and that is simply: to be a better person than I was the year previously. When I say better, my priorities are to be more understanding, considerate, open, tolerant and kinder. But I want to be much more self-disciplined too, as I feel I have lacked self-discipline in some areas of my life, so I want to focus heavily on improving my self-discipline in 2013. As self-discipline is the key to success and I want to not only chase my dreams but accomplished them. Nothing in this life is for free; if you want something you've got to work hard for it.
