I went into town today to buy some magazines, then I went to a small museum, which was very nice. I saw photos of what West London looked like back in the Victorian era up until the '30s. I turned on the news tonight to see that two horses died today in the grand national... WAS IT WORTH IT? Only 15 of the 40 horses completed the full course without falling over on the jumps (suffering unnecessary distress as a result), seems like those safety improvements clearly weren't enough.
