That 70's Show, Can they be family?
My definition of family is a group of people who love each other unconditionally. You can share a name with someone and not consider them to be your family. You can have their genes and still they are not your family. Family is the people you choose to be around you, in your life and who you share everything with. Look at the kids whose parents walk out on them or the children who are adopted. The family tree has many branches extending further then aunts and cousins twice removed, reaching all the way out to those people who know where you were the night before… your best friends. Your father knows only as much as you tell him, your mother only knows as much as she found out, your siblings, they are in their own world. You can trust your friends to support your every decision even if they know it’s a bad one, you can count on your friends to be there for you when your planned failed and rely on them to bail you out if they aren’t sitting right next to you. Life isn’t the same without that group of friends you call your family, because who else is going to entertain you on a boring day.
