Title: Tiger Stripped Memories
Word count: 109
Hey batter, batter, hey, batter, batter, swing. When the Tigers played their last game at Tiger Stadium, I was twelve years old. But I do have some memories. Our school used to treat the safetys and service squad to a Tigers game. One year we sat close enough for Bobby Higginson to wave to use. I also remember going with a friend and her family and the Tigs had scored, but the run went on the Baltimore score. I remember learning that Mac and Higginson were buddies (and calling Higginson “Higgy” - first baseball player nickname I remember). I remember liking going to games, though hating watching games on T.V.
