Can she come out now? Okay, maybe not now as that would be a bit TOO early, but you get the idea.
Nothing was decided at the consultants. Went through the normal routine of tests - wee, blood sugar, blood pressure with the nurse. That puts you in the system. Then you get shunted onto the midwife who today did nothing more than check that I was doing okay, and ask if I had any questions. Then it's onto the consultant. Each room has a trolley outside and you can watch your file getting passed from one to the next!
The consultant (who is actually a really nice guy) looked at the details from the two scans and is not concerned about the growth at all: probably because the insulin is keeping my blood sugar under control. He got cross with the ultrasound department when he realised that I didn't have any more scans booked as apparently I should have them every two weeks till due date. He wants to see me again in four weeks after two more scans.
I did bring up the subject of an early induction in an attempt to avoid a c-section. It would also have the benefit of ending the SPD issues 2 or 3 weeks early. Mobility - now that is a novel idea! I was quite surprised in that he didn't say 'no' there and then and said it is negotiable. Fingers crossed.
Guess I'm just frustrated because I wanted answers now. I hate this 'hanging on'. I want to know if we have another 11 weeks to get things organised, and another 11 weeks of the pain from the SPD, or if I'm going to escape that sooner.
Oh, and then I had to walk all the way around to ultrasound to make more scan appointments. The consultant said the walking would do me good. Yeah! If I could actually walk that distance I'm sure it would!!! And the place was so hot that I felt quite faint when I got there.
Oh, and she is now back to being breech. Not an issue at the moment, but she was definately head down at my midwife appointment last week. So I guess that explains the flurry of movement over the weekend.
