Scenes from an Hawaii 5-0 Fic
Yes, I did in fact, just (badly) rip off Billy Joel for that subject.
First, before I get to the fic scenes I want to wish a Very Happy Birthday to delicatale. Here's hoping your day is full of all good things!
I have two separate scenes that have been running through my head for the past couple days, and I can't really figure out how to flesh out around them.
Scene The First: Some how Steve finds out that Danny is giving money to an unnamed charity. He confronts him worried about it being something illegal and Danny sets him straight. When a cop suicides their family doesn't get any of their pension, and if the cop has been in service for a long time that could be a lot of money. So every PD that Danny has ever heard of sets up an 'blank' account that officers can contribute to as they are able/see fit. And if a cop suicides the money is taken out of this account and, *handwave, handwave* given to the family. This is the 'unnamed charity' that Danny's been contributing to. I'm sure this doesn't actually happen, as it goes against the rules of PD's.
Scene The Second: Is a 'The Sentinel' cross-over. Guides 'come online' at the same time as their Sentinel; it's a instinct/genetic imparative thing, so that there's always one Guide for each Sentinel. Problem in this case: Danny is in New Jersey and only 16 (so still in school/not able to go to his Sentinel at the drop of a hat), but he knows his Sentinel is far away, and needs him. Steve came online in Hawaii when his mother was killed in the car bombing; and with his Guide being far away, (it's an innate knowledge, how far from the Sentinel their Guide is) Steve is forced to struggle with his senses. They do find each other eventually.
