Okay, rage I would have expected, confrontations I would have expected, Edward blowing up at Bella I would have expected. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS! You were right, this turn was, um, different. Bella's reaction to the note pretty much explained it all though. It makes sense for suicide to look like the answer for someone whose parents chose that way not too long ago. So Bella and Jacob's infidelity did not cause her death, it was simply the catalyst for which it finally happened. I blame parenting for the actual act. This story never ceases to surprise me, great job bb. Can't wait for the next update.

After spending time in poor Nessie's head, it is the only way I could imagine she would react with all the things going on in her life at that time. Like Bella told Jacob - she did not have the best role models in how to handle problems, add to that her feelings of isolation, not to mention she feels she is a freak (which she is, unfortunately), and as she said earlier, "if Jacob didn't want me, who would?". All of these changes on the shoulders of a child (she's only 5), and the final straw was seeing her mother and Jacob.
A child has no concept of giving problems time and waiting for change. They think that what they feel at that moment will last forever - and in Nessie's case it would be foreverI think this chapter freaked out some readers. It was tough to write. Glad it's over ( ... )
