it's been a long time since i've updated.
things are going pretty damned well for me right now. i'm in a really great relationship with a beautiful, amazing girl. it's the kind of relationship where every kiss is special, and since our relationship is being put under some really intense circumstances it's becoming stronger by the day. she was born and raised in maui, and her parents are visiting for a few weeks. they are staying with her sister in parker, CO and she's down there this week. i miss seeing her every day, but we talk on the phone and it's all okay. we have only been together for two months. not even two months. two months on the 14th. but already we have become really important parts of eachothers lives. she already knows more about me than my roommates, who i've known for three years now. she probably knows more about me than my best friend from high school, and she knows more about me than i've written on here... which includes some really personal stuff. i think. there's really just nothing better than waking up beside her. i'm rambling now... but, yeah, we're doing really well.
on another note, i'm drumming in a band. i may have mentioned that i was starting a band a long time ago. i also might not have. anyway, the original lineup was josh - guitar, andy - guitar, me - bass, logan - drums. but logan flaked on the band and so now the lineup is josh - guitar, andy - bass/guitar, me - drums/drum machine!. there will be a lot of instrument switching and stuff. it will be cool. we have worked out one of josh's originals and also we are working on a cover of "bizarre love triangle" by new order.
i got an A in my WRTG3020 class, which for non-college-course-code-readers like i'm sure some of you are, it's upper-division writing, for college juniors and seniors. the first day of this class our professor tells us, "i don't practice grade inflation. if you do all the work just so it's done, miss only a couple of classes, turn only a couple of things in late, and write decently, that's a C." the class was really fun and i'm proud of the two papers i turned in. he wrote in the comments that he thinks i should keep working on the second essay, perhaps expand it, and submit it to contests!
