Stuff Going On

School has started, and my classes have gone well so far. We've only met three times, but the students are all ears. I think they've heard that I'm good at teaching writing and they think that I'll help them pass the test that qualifies them to go overseas.

I haven't had much luck finding the medicine I need here. No way I can get Copaxone, and the only import is Rebif. I was lucky to find that. The International Clinic can import it for $2,000/month. My friend found a direct supplier who offers it for half that price. It's still a lot, but I think I can do it for a while, at least until I find a situation in the US with insurance.

My Spanish teacher says that in Cuba, they treat this with oral interferon (3x/day), and it only costs 6 dollars a day. The price is right, but I just can't find any studies on this treatment, and so I'm not sure if it works. On top of that, can you imagine trying to import that much medicine? I assume it's a serum that you drink. Let's see -- 3 vials times 365 days = how many suitcases?
