I've been missing Dartmouth terribly, so someone upstairs decided to bring me a bit of New England weather. The snow really isn't very bad, but no one here knows how to drive on it - my morning commute took 2.5 hours rather than the 45 minutes which it usually takes!
- Not having a snow brush - annoying, but you just use your glove
- Not having much gas - worrisome, but you keep the heat and radio off and push the gas sparingly until you can slide into a gas station and refuel
- Being in the minority of people who showed up for work today - bizzare, but let me get a lot of work done
- Having a headlight burn out just before my drive home (after dark) - scary, but I took evasive maneuvers and will replace the bulbs tomorrow
Getting to see the Lincoln Memorial emerge from the falling snow like Olympus through the clouds? Priceless.
