Happy birthday boskokitten and frizil_bee and any other September birthdays I may have missed. September birthdays rule.
GROWN-UP MONSTERS closes on Thursday. It's kinda sad, because I know this is the last time I'm going to be performing with Mal. She, Jenny and I have done four Skybox shows together since last November and she truly is one of the funniest comediennes with whom I've had the privilege of performing. She's moved to Minnesota at the first of this month and she travels down to do the last of her Skybox shows every Thursday, as well as rehearsals for a short play periodically. I'm certain this last show will be our best.
On the other MIXTAPE opens on Friday. I have had the most fun in rehearsals I've ever had on a Skybox show. I was discussing this with Kate last night and we agree that it's because we trust everyone in the show. With many past shows, there's been one or two people with whom we've been hesitant to perform. There's none of that in this show and it feels great. Plus, the material is truly funny!
