Friday night sucked for the most part. Yes, the night was fun and it was good to see old co-workers. However, not only did I not get drunk as much as I had hoped to, but I never got that Christmas bonus I so desperately needed. (Apparently, working nine out of the twelve months does not constitute helping the company's success this year.) Plus, I didn't get to see my fiance afterward either. My mom and I had a nice talk after the party, however, about life in general and where I stand. I'm still convinced this is a rough financial patch that I'll overcome in the next few months and get back above ground again. I'll find my own here.
Saturday was a long day spent with good friends in Chicago. We got to ride the
CTA holiday train by surprise. We decorated our apartment in the most ridiculous fashion possible using Stacie's stash of lights and garland. Last night, we had our best show yet of PANTS, as expected. I'm glad so many of my friends were there to see it.
Today was a day. Julie and I had a walk to catch up on life and thoughts. It was one of the more grounded conversations we've had. It was good that we had it. Communication is good.
