How woode

So, I never had an informal interview with Ticketmaster tonight because Noelle's boss never went to the Christmas Party at which it was supposed to happen. That was a waste of time. She said she's going to give him what-for tomorrow for wasting people's time. We didn't stay long at the party, as none of us (including Noelle's co-worker Nicki) felt comfortable there. It was mainly people in business suits, etc. Still, we took advantage of the free food and drinks while we were there.

Everything happens for a reason, though. I don't know how my standing with Ticketmaster is now, but I incidently ran into my old faire pal Brett (aka Brett Bretterson) at i.O. last night and he mentioned to me that I was asked about by his supervisor at the Museum of Science and Industry. (I had mentioned I knew Brett in my cover letter; he has worked there for two years.) Brett told me that he gave me a glowing recommendation for the position. This was good news to hear: that not only has my application actually been processed, but that I've been given a great recommendation by a long-time employee.

I've just got to wait to hear from them. I have to hear from them soon, I imagine. The last ad for the position was posted over a week ago on Craigslist and the job starts on January 3rd, so they MUST be starting to schedule interviews soon. Brett was nice enough to give me the email addy of his supervisor, so I'll hopefully find out something from him soon.

Tomorrow night, I see my former co-workers for the first time since I moved. I plan on getting wasted like I do every year. This year should be special, as it is my last employee outing with Zeronine. We will see.

Man, I really stay up too late for my own good.
