Media Whore 17: Full 'King Kong' Trailer, 'Potter' Soundtrack

Nov 04, 2005 23:22

Watch the full trailer for 'King Kong'. This focuses more on the emotional part of the film, which, clocking in at three hours, looks to be more than twice as long as the original 1933 film (coming to DVD later this month). The new footage looks amazing and I giggle with glee in anticipation for this winter.

As otbs pointed out, you can now listen to the entire 'Goblet of Fire' soundtrack online. In case you don't notice, Patrick Doyle is doing the music for this film, taking over the reigns from the acclaimed John Williams, who did the last three Potter films. With a new composer comes a new theme and the film looks to be true to it's tagline, "Everything is about to change." For those of you unaware of Doyle's work, he is VERY British. He has composed every one of Kenneth Branagh's Shakespeare film adaptations, as well as other very British films like 'Gosford Park,' 'Bridget Jones' Diary,' and 'Calendar Girls.'

November 18th is proving to be one of those rare times where two movies I really want to see ('Goblet of Fire' and 'Walk The Line') are premiering the same day. Potter will take presidence, of course, but it's encouraging to see.
