Earlier last week I went for a walk to some vegetable shops to check out what they had... And I was surprised at how expensive this one was O_O

My local place has been selling stuff for 100 yen as usual, only charging 150 or 200 for some really big hakusai cabbages, but this place was asking 500~700 yen for a medium sized one... =O Conveniently enough, they also had cashless payment options available... Those are some modern farmers, lol!
Still cheaper than the supermarket though, where it's 298 yen for 1/8th of a hakusai last time I checked... I haven't bought any vegetables at supermarkets in weeks or maybe even months, other than moyashi at least ^^;;

Meanwhile the cheap hakusai at my local shop... had some leaves partially eaten by a caterpillar, and the caterpillar was included too, lol. Maybe these are ones they can't sell to supermarkets? It's only a few of the outer leaves that have been nibbled on though, and once you wash it I'm sure it's fine... At least they must've not used pesticides? xD

Bonus kitty that I saw on my way to the vegetable shops
