As the winds of a BDE shifted, it turned out that Bruce Wayne was not The Dark Knight. When his parents were murdered, he devoted himself to sports. And that was why he took a portal out of Fandom to report to Spring Training today along with the other position players.
Bruce had been playing for his hometown Gotham Griffins, but they were unwilling to pay for a contract extension so he left as a free agent two seasons ago. The famous Batman - the home run champ three of the last five years - decided to fight against impossible odds by signing with the Chicago Cubs that offseason, trying to take them into the World Series for the first time since just shortly after 1939.
It had not gone well so far, but maybe this season was finally THE season.
