"Whatcha doin?" Marie asked from her bed. Her eyes kept drifting to the flowers on her desk and she was thinking very thinky thoughts too.

"Cleaning up Amy's cage," Willow said. "Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Seems a shame to throw it out."

"Around here, I'm sure a spare cage would come in handy," Marie pointed out.

"Especially for certain boys," Willow muttered, thinking of Seely.

"Yeah," Marie agreed, glacing at the flowers again.

"Have you met that guy who looks like Angel?" Willow asked, momentarily forgetting the fact that Marie had never even met Angel who looks like Angel.

"I haven't met any of the new people yet," Marie admitted. "Not feeling particularly sociable."

"How are you doing?" Willow asked, her attention drawn back to her roomie's needs. "Jamie was here yesterday. He wanted to know what he could do to make it up to you."

Marie sighed. "He apologized to me on Sunday night. And sent me flowers yesterday."

No, she didn't really answer Willow's question. Mostly because she wasn't sure how to answer it.

"I guess that's a start," Willow said, though she didn't sound like she felt it was close to a finish.

"Yeah," Marie said. "Did he tell you what happened though? It was part of him that said those things. But he claims he doesn't really feel that way. I don't know if I believe him though."

No, Marie had no idea about the other things Jamie had done last week.

"I get that," Willow said. "When I found out he was the one who did the frogs I thought maybe he didn't really like me as a friend, or was mad at me."

"What?" Marie's head snapped up and she looked at Willow. "Jamie put the dead frogs in your bed? And then stood here and acted like he felt bad?"

Willow nodded. "Apparently."

"I don't understand," Marie said. "He was always so nice to us before."

"Well, this was evil Jamie," Willow said. "It's not all of Jamie."
