Subject: Greetings from Fandom
Hey Buffy,
Long time no type, I know, I know. There's been oodles going on!
Classes are good, even if we're not getting graded for them which, I'm sorry, is SO UNFAIR. But on the upside I'm learning things. In Nature & Nature Magic we've learned about
magical plants,
rocks, and
drumming and dancing. I even learned an
anti-frog call which would've been
very useful last week.
In Baking & Cooking we've made
crepes, and
snickerdoodles though I may be using a broad definition of "we" and "make" when I say that. The cookies came out okay though, if I do say so myself. And I'd better be or else my computer is possessed and someone else is doing the typing and boy let's just not go through THAT again, huh?
Speaking of, in Computers we've done
nifty toys and
sneakiness. Of course my hacker-fu was useful as always, but I ended up having to make a drawing for the
Art Fair when my teacher Abby nearly caught me researching magic stuff in class.
Which, by the way, if
somebody asks you to
do a spell it's a good idea to
strip search them for magicy stuff or else you'll end up having to
undo it. Either that or maybe Dean and Alec kept things from me because they figured that was the only way they could get into each other's pants without their girlfriends finding out. I try not to judge.
That fourth class that I'm taking but not really taking is going real well. If you met the teacher I know you'd like him. He's had classes in
pie and
gibberish, which I did not know was actually a language and now? I'm a little scared. Also I'm so proud of him I could spit, not that I ever understood why spitting would be a good thing in this occaision.
Fandom's no Sunnydale, but we've had our share of problems. The influx of frogs turned out to be due to
Rory making a perfectly understandable mistake that anyone could have done, really, not that I'd know anything about that nor would any of my friends. Anyway, there was a big
meeting in the library and I thought I could
do a spell to help but it turned out not to work as well as I wanted it to.
Do you remember me talking about a boy named Tyler? Well I found him
trying to blow up a computer monitor in the woods and something about it made me miss us using the word wiggins.
Bel said I probably wasn't overreacting and
Veronica asked me to look into his past which was pretty nice of her considering she could've killed me for that time Marie and I
did her shift on the radio.
There's also been wackiness and fun, like my friend Jamie
having gnomes and
doing a Bitterwoman marathon (with a girl who turns out not to have a crush back on him so CLEARLY she has no taste). There's been
hanging out in common rooms with friends,
bookfairs, and
basketball and
cheerleading practice which lead up to the
big game and the fun
party after.
My friend and roommate Marie
knows I'm a witch now and she's been really supportive.
But I guess maybe the biggest news is
Peter. He and I have been
spending a lot of time together. Which has been
really,
really,
really nice.
Of course, he's a king which means sometimes I
need advice on
how to do things the right way. Which, in terms of hankies, can be
more work than
you'd think.
But you know? It's kinda worth it.
Hope all in SunnyD are okay. Give hugs and smooches for me.
Willow.
