B -22- When Cold Settles...
...The bills rise. Who would think that a power bill could get that high!?
Happy thoughts to keep you warm... and good company.
Tessa came down for a holiday! It was wonderful to have her back, even for just a brief amount of time. There was cheap wine and Hudsons coffee to be had, and we were reunited with our friends the fish bowl margarita family at tachos for tea. A stint of dancing at ye old isobar.
While she was down she also joined Grace, Thomas and myself in watching the EC production of "Disco Inferno", which (aside from having my boyfriend in it) i quite enjoyed, despite the exceeding length. This continued for me into the cast party, which at first made me feel exceptionally old. But then i relaxed and realised i was being stupid, particularly given that there were so many other randoms there. Anyway, the night wasnt what i planned, but in a weird way i enjoyed it more that way. Seeing Ben like that reminded me of my first big hangover/vomiting/drinking experiance. In fact the image in jess' mums car that night reminded me of when i had my head out Shannon's mum's car's window about 3 years ago. Good times.
Good times ahead too i'm sure... :)
Anyway...
Regretabbly, Tess once again left on this very day; the twelth of july. Come back soon tessa!
Thankfully the twelth of July also meant the release (although delayed it was) of our exam results: HD for sociology, D for TV theory and C's for Law and Writing.
TV and Sociology (particularly) I'm very happy with. Writing was my own fault for relying on little effort and 'natural' talent (pft). But im actually very pleased with law, simply because given the fact i was nearly failing i still managed to bump myself up in the exam fairly well :)
Anyway dead tired and have work today so must be off... Uni starts monday. I feel unprepared and a little irriatated to find that now, the cycle must begin again.
Is this the comfortable routine... or just life?
